DIY Green Cleaner for Minor Drain Clogs
There isn’t such a thing to drive you crazy as noticing that the drains in your house are starting to clog.
Frustrating, right?! Yes, I totally understand how you feel.
On our blog post today, we are going to teach you how to make a simple DIY green drain cleaner for minor clogs or blockage that will actually prevent future problems.
All you are going to need are three ingredients that you probably have in your house: baking soda, vinegar, and water.
Simple, right? So, this is what you need to do.
Green DIY Drain Cleaner
1/2 cup baking soda
1/2 cup vinegar
Hot water
Instructions:
- First, put baking soda down the drain
- Second, slowly pour the vinegar. Mixing the two components will cause an effervescence, let the components react for a few minutes.
- Now, pour a kettle of hot water down the drain
- Last, repeat the process one more time if needed
The reaction between the baking soda and vinegar removes residue stuck in the drain and the hot water helps to soften and flush all the remains down through the drain.
Although this mixture helps to unblock and clean drains, it won’t work if there is a substantial amount of residue blocking the drain. As we mentioned earlier, this recipe helps with minor clogs, as well as preventing remains to accumulate in the drains.
Therefore, we strongly recommend you to contact a professional plumbing if the problem persists.
